Today's Hope's purpose

AUTISM ON THER RISE

Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) has become one of America’s leading disabilities among children.

It is impacting millions of lives daily. The national average according the Center for Disease Control is 1-150. Unlike other disorders, the outcome of this disorder for each child can change dramatically with early intervention — specifically early intensive behavioral intervention (EIBI)

Today's Hope services

Today’s Hope will begin providing financial resources in October 2008. We will offer:
• Financial support to cover the cost of a variety of early intervention services for a period of three years
• Maximum of $36,000 over a three years
• A monthly payment of $1,000 sent directly to providers who meet certain criteria for providing early intervention services

HOW CHILDREN BENEFIT FROM US

The cost of this complex and intensive intervention can be overwhelming for most families. We offer support.

Without immediate intervention directly after diagnosis precious time is wasted. Studies have shown that early intervention can change the trajectory of a child’s life by using techniques and methods to increase opportunities for learning. By creating this change a percentage of children with ASD will be able to access instruction from a typical classroom setting thereby allowing them to be part of a very important academic and social setting.

Additionally, there is methodology available to help these families with some very intense behavioral issues that take place both in the home and community settings

Families qualifying for help

•Newly diagnosed families who meet criteria and have found providers in their area
•Exhausted other available resources such as insurance or extended family support
•Are struggling with the current level of financial cost because of multiple interventions such as:
-Home ABA therapy program
-Speech services
-Occupational services
-Physical therapy

Upcoming events
Host for the Hope

On August 2, 2008 this national event will raise money to help families afford intervention for their children with Autism Spectrum Disorder.

Host for the Hope allows individuals to host an event at home or at a restaurant to educate attendees about ASD. It is also an opportunity
to encourage financial support.

These events can raise national awareness as we direct attention to the thousands of families living with children with ASD.

These children deserve the best growth opportunites; and among these opportunities is early intervention. It is the goal of Today’s Hope to provide families with the financial resources to afford such services.
